UNITED IN LOVE
Our Story
A Divine Introduction
In late July, through the providential guidance of their mutual friend Rose, James and Daisy were introduced. In retrospect, the Hand of Divine Providence is unmistakable: Two souls who had known profound suffering & loneliness, both seeking a union rooted in faith, hope, and love, introduced to each other by the dearest of friends.
United in Faith Through Shared Suffering

From their first meeting, it became clear that God had been preparing their hearts for one another. Both had experienced the profound sorrow of losing their mothers: James’s beloved mother, Janet Marie Bezdek, died May 20th, 2021, and Daisy’s dear mother, Fiona Dallas Rodriguez McMinn, died November 27th, 2022. Both mothers experienced great suffering while alive, although in different ways. James & Daisy witnessed their example, and the unique Passion of Christ they tried to imitate through their suffering. Combined with their Catholic upbringing, this formed the foundation for their renewed faith in God.
The Three Hearts: Foundation of Their Union
Central to James and Daisy’s courtship is their ardent devotion to the Three Hearts. The Sacred Heart of Jesus, burning with divine love; the Immaculate Heart of Mary, pierced with sorrow yet overflowing with grace; and the Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph, faithful protector and guardian. These Three Hearts have been their constant guides, intercessors, and models of perfect love. James & Daisy seek to take this example into their new home once married, and they will try to imitate the Holy Family in their daily lives, especially if they are blessed with children.

A Courtship According to the Saints
Seeking to build their relationship upon the firm foundation of Catholic tradition, James and Daisy followed the wisdom found in “Courtship of the Saints.” On November 1st, the Solemnity of All Saints, they officially began their courtship. James presented Daisy with Courtship Rings of the Three Hearts at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jarrell, Texas, which is the sacred ground where Daisy’s mother is laid to rest. The feast day, the location, the symbolism all bore witness in a plea to Heaven for God’s blessing upon their union.
On December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and Daisy’s birthday, James proposed they advance to the next stage: Betrothal. Daisy’s father, Deacon Guadalupe, recommended they celebrate their Betrothal on January 23rd, the Feast of the Espousal of the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Joseph. Once again, Our Lady’s maternal hand has guided their path toward holy matrimony.

Complementary Gifts and Shared Joys
The Lord has blessed James with an artistic eye for photography and video, while Daisy has been gifted with talents in sewing, painting, writing, and the tender art of composing love letters. James delights in showering Daisy with thoughtful gifts (including, memorably, the perfect vacuum cleaner for Christmas, and handmade ornaments for Daisy & her dad made from photographs both recent and past).
Their shared love of antique treasures leads them on weekend excursions, accompanied by their devoted fathers. Both cherish their feline companions and share a lighthearted sense of humor, as evidenced by James’s creation of an AI-generated “Baby Yoda” love song after Daisy’s persistent teasing about the figurines they encountered in their antiquing adventures.
A Future Consecrated to the Three Hearts
James and Daisy pray for the blessing of children, that they may raise souls devoted to the Three Hearts. Daisy hopes to grow her sewing, perhaps expanding to create ties. They plan to honeymoon in Corpus Christi, beginning their married life under the patronage of the Body of Christ.
Their courtship is a testament that when two hearts surrender themselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, seek the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and follow the example of the Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph, God writes a love story far more beautiful than any they could have imagined.
Through the Three Hearts, to the Triune God, now and forever.
James & Daisy
